When is the last time the Pope has been to the US? Does anyone know if there are plans for a visit anytime soon?

He came to Washington, D.C. and New York in 2008. There are no announced plans (at least, as far as I’ve heard) for another visit.
By way of reference, John Paul II came to the US five times during his pontificate (excluding two stop-overs in Alaska): 1979, 1987, 1993, 1995, and 1999. But he was much younger: in 1979, he was only 59 years old, and he was still under 80 by his last trip here. Benedict is already 85.

There are no plans at this time for another U.S. trip.
I hope so much to be able to lay eyes on the Holy Father before his time on earth is done.
Our Pope is quite elderly already. When I think of the trips he makes and all that he does in his day to day life and consider his age, sometimes I get tears in my eyes. He sacrifices so much.
May God grant our Holy Father health and longevity.

If funds allow, you could always go to Rome! I went there before I had any interest in joining the Catholic church - I really want to return with the faith that I have now!I hope so much to be able to lay eyes on the Holy Father before his time on earth is done.

I recall reading an article the other day that said the Holy Father’s recent trip to Cuba & Mexico will be his only foregin trip of the year.There are no plans at this time for another U.S. trip.

I would love to go to Rome but as of right now time definitely does not allow as I am a senior in university. One day hopefully it will happen.If funds allow, you could always go to Rome!
