Hi,
The sacrifice was made on Calvary on Good Friday. That same sacrifice transcends time and is celebrated with the consecration of bread and wine into the Body and Blood of the Savior at Mass. The priest then offers our sacrificed Lord to the Father when he holds up His Body and Blood and says: “Through Him, with Him, in Him in the unity of the Holy Spirit all glory and honor is yours, Almighty Father, for ever and ever.
The prayer becomes ours when we respond with the Great “Amen.”
