Lately, I have been feeling like everything I touch turns to stone.
My car is 15 years old and I will be needing a new one soon. Finances are not the issue. I went shopping and I have a bad back and hip and the car that looked really good on the internet had a VERY uncomfortable seat. So I test drove a few more cars and now all I see is a big head ache deciding which car to buy. So…buying a new car has become a headache.
I saw this group on the internet last week that met to play board games at a café. I decided to sign up. It did not go over well. I wanted to paly the game, no one understood the rules so they would make ‘mistakes’ and laugh at themselves saying things like ‘Oops, should have had my coffee’. I just was not on the same wavelength and did not enjoy it
Today I went to another thing I signed up for. It was a maze and we had to look for clues and keys and objects to get to the next level. Every time I found an object and tried to use it to find a clue, a lady would just ripped it out of my hand. I even remember walking to a corner by myself to try something. I didn’t think what I was doing would help find a clue but at least it gave me something to do. This lady first told me to stop wasting my time, then after I ignored her pushed me out of the way and started to fiddle at what I was doing. Let’s just say I did not accept the invitation to do it again.
There is a bible study I attend that I use to enjoy. Well, lately, the only thing people want to talk about is politics. I miss learning about the bible
Honestly, sometimes I think I am a lot happier just going to work and the gym and coming home. It seems like any other thing I try just becomes a disaster
The only fun I had all weekend is today when I went down to the laundry room, there was a lady and her 3 year old daughter. I kept giving my socks to the little girl and asking her to put them in the dryer for me. The smile on her face was priceless. I guess it is more blessed to give than to receive
