The Copts get small tattoos of crosses on the insides of their wrists as a tradition and for surreptitious identification purposes.

I’m not sure why you can’t simply say that you don’t like tattoos yourself and you consider them to be ugly or in poor taste or gross, without needing to bend over backwards to try to find (nonexistent) Church teaching support for your preference.
🤦‍♂️ I honestly don’t know how to make any more clear my acknowledgement that there are no church teachings on the matter, that I agree that they are effectively “nonexistent.” I am simply citing, and looking for verses that would seem to relate to the matter, regardless of personal opinion.

As for my own opinion on tattoos themselves, if you had taken the time to read on of my earlier posts you would have seen that I already acknowledge
In my opinion a tattoo is a mutilation of the Holy Ghost’s temple, akin to graffiti at best.
With all due respect, could it be that you are “bending over backwards” to support your own opinion by mischaracterizing mine? Enough already, please. Have a good day.

Does God change His mind? It is clear from Leviticus 19:28 , which says,”You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the Lord.” that God has said you shall not make any tattoo marks on you. Is it not true that God is unchangeable? Or does God change His mind depending on whether it is 3000 years ago or 3 years ago?
3000 years ago - God forbids tattoos
3 years ago and today - God has changed His mind and He does not forbid tattos?
