When we suffer for righteousness sake or suffer in resisting sin, is it okay to offer it up to the Lord as a sacrifice on behalf of someone else? Another way to phrase it would be: Can I have an intention for my suffering? I am asking this in the context of Paul’s statement in Colossians 1:24confused: “Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I am filling up what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions for the sake of his body, that is, the church”
