I know someone just starting through RCIA. She has no religious background at all. I’m looking for a simple easy-to-read publication which summarizes Christ’s central role in our faith - that he is both man and God, that he died for our sins as the supreme sacrifice, thereby justifying us before God and granting us access to eternal life, etc. I have scanned a few web sites, such as Cathlolic Answers and find nothing like this. I did not find anything in a brief search for tracts. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Would the Compedium to the Catechism be of any use? Its on the Vatican website from memory.

Go to you local big book seller and look for a book by Cardinal Ratzinger (Pope Benedict) It is" Jesus of Nazareth".
