and sin is what causes unbelief (to the point of leaving the One true Church)…>>>distracted
Sin is sin is sin is sin, there is not one greater than the other.

The word of God says: Jam 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

And if that is not difficult enough, how about this one: Mat 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

So, if we ask “what hope is there then if we can not keep the Ten Commandments and keep our minds from lusting, when a very thought can condemn us?
Who then can be saved?

Guess what? It was designed to be that way. Why? Because: God wants to be the only one to receive your love and admiration, and to enlist Him in your every need where by He may save you by giving you a new life!

This new life is everlasting life, one that will never die.

God does indeed lead us where He would have us, never, however, denying us our free will to say no. It’s not clear to me whether you are saying that God is leading some out of the Catholic Church. I must be misunderstanding you. Seeing what measures He took to establish a Church to safeguard our salvation, He would never agree that anyone should leave it. It is possible to gain eternal happiness outside the Catholic Church. If someone is not truly aware that the Catholic Church is the Church that Jesus established on earth, but follows his conscience and lives a life of love and service to others, he will gain Heaven. However, if he knows in his heart that the Catholic Church is God made, and still for whatever reason leaves it, he cannot gain Heaven, since he has turned his back on what Christ teaches to be true. God bless.>>>Distracted
No, I am not advocating the leaving of the Catholic Church, but in the hope of enlightening to the point where non Catholics can be seen just as dear to Gods heart.

If that is an understood view, then love can be exercised to others without identification to what organization we belong to.

Love need not be attached to any one organization, for love is generated from within and not from without, but yet demonstrated from without.

My point in all this is isolation.

Religion isolates, divides in the name of religion and love takes second fiddle, though there are claims to the contrary.

So, if we place love first, and the church second we will find our mission more effective in wining converts.

For than our testimony will give evidence of real genuine love and beg the question “What church do you belong to”, than the answer is easy from there on.

Sin can take it away. You cannot sin (without repentance/expiation) & stay “in Christ”. And the Bible and Church say nothing of any eternal security. The only eternal security we experience is when we have stayed committed to doing everything Christ commands until the very end… and we are taken into Heaven or (more likely) purgatory… and then Heaven… Because “no impure thing” will enter Heaven (Rev 21:27). Human beings, no matter how much they love Jesus and adhere to his ways (try to) are NOT pure enough for Heaven… without purgation (here and/or in the afterlife).>>>Distracted
A child has to be held to some rules because the child is not yet able to discern or make wise choices.
So, it is a form of protection for the child.

But when the child grows up he/she must make their own choices based on what they have learned from the parents but as independents.

If they continue to hold those values for the rest of their lives, goodness is their best friend.

But notice, does it at anytime make them not a child because of their venturing away from those values, and after repentance again become a child?

Is the being or not being a child the deciding factor, or is the venturing away?

We become a child (sons) of God when we are renewed in spirit (born of God) and therefore can not be held hostage because of it, but we can be reprehended for the venturing away without losing the son ship status.

The bible does give evidence to that being so.

the Roman Catholic Church was established by God, through Jesus Christ. It is the only Church going back to the time of Christ, w/ the apostles as the 1st popes/bishops/priests.
It is “earthly” only in the sense it is located on Earth and run by human beings…but Jesus ascended into Heaven & therefore, had 2 have human representatives to continue His mission… He left us His divine Presence, which abides continually in the Catholic Church.>>>Distracted
I have no argument against that.

Jesus instituted Christianity on Earth… The old way had to go. You can’t compare the Jewish temple with the new temple of the Church…
and you don’t see that Temple being utterly destroyed, do you? It is the only institution in the world that has NOT been destroyed in 2000 yrs… (St. Mt 16:18)>>>Distracted
If the Jewish temple which was a physical building, represented the old as you said, but also represents a temporal condition, as earthly.

Jesus said, destroy this temple and I will raise it up the third day, giving notice of a heavenly temple being instituted once His body was destroyed on the cross.

The Jews, of course could not understand a spiritual message took it to mean the physical temple of which took many years to build and J4esus said He could do it in 3 days?

Likewise today, the spiritual church of the one Jesus spoke is a spiritual church found in the hearts of mankind.

Worn in the heart and not on the cuffs.

The Catholic Church does represent Christ just as the other denominations as well.

Just because one is a Catholic it does not mean a thing, unless one wears Christ in the heart.

So, you tell me, which is the most important, wearing Jesus in the heart or on the shirt sleeve cuffs?

Jesus has NOT left the Building… >>>Distracted
For the last part of your post’s response, let me take you back to Moses time.

There was the temple which had three separate rooms of which the Holiest of Holies was the place where God would attend with His presence.

Are you with me thus far?

Well, it was a picture of what was to be and which the temple in Jerusalem represented as well, a place that withstood the test of time, or better for a temporal time.

Now let’s see what the crucifixion of Christ and how it affected those temples.

Your quote above is not being understood correctly and here the reason why.

The curtain that separated the Holiest of Holies from the Holy place: Exo 26:33 And thou shalt hang up the Vail under the taches, that thou mayest bring in thither within the Vail the ark of the testimony: and the vail shall divide unto you between the holy place and the most holy.
Heb 9:3 And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;

This vail was ripped from top to bottom allowing mankind to now have access to God directly without the high priests assistance.

Can you see that?

So, if we can now have access to God directly, we have but only one high priest and that is Jesus.
And if we can have access to Him directly is it not the same as are being priests ourselves?

Think about it and than think about what you said in the quote above.

God is not in the church, but in your heart, where ever your heart may be, in the church or in your home.

Peace>>>AJ

Well, that is your choice and one which I respect.

As far as your quote “God wouldn’t have established a Church, with Sacraments to aid us in our quest for Heaven, and then decide that it’s really not important after all”.

Here’s a similitude: A child needs parents for nourishment, knowledge, guidance comfort and love, with the last one being the most important of all.

But when that child has grown to adult hood, they become independent of the parents and no longer need the all of the above except for love which never dies.

If the there is a tendency to remain with the parents in adult hood, that’s OK to.

The choice is yours.

But now we are talking Church, so it’s up to you to remain and do the best you can in life while being faithful to God.

My blessings, AJ
Heaven help us if we think we can grow independent of God! What fools we mortals be. Who are we trying to kid, anyway? We can’t grow independent of God, except in our egotistic thinking. If God chose to be independent of any of us we would cease to exist. Therefore, this perfect God expects gratitude and praise in return for his constant providence. Angels and saints in Heaven never stop praising God. Do you think you can exist without nourishment, comfort, and guidance from God? Without nourishment we wither and die. Jesus said, “Unless you eat My body and drink My blood you will not have life in you.” Without guidance we will lose our way. Without comfort we will become sick at heart, regardless of our so-called maturity. Oh, we need God at any age. This God gave us a sure-fire way to get to Heaven. If we foolishly disregard His guidance, we have only ourselves to blame. God bless!

Do you not know that that is what separated us from God in the first place, independence?

To be as gods is to be independent.
Is that not what a child acquires while growing up?

What you are not seeing in my explanation of individual independence is to be totally dependent upon God and not dependent on the church structure because the physical church is subject to failing.

Therefore, if you are founded on the rock which is Jesus, then you are on solid ground and one which the waves of the sea and the winds can not move, making you independent of the physical but dependent of the spiritual.

You get it now?
Therefore, this perfect God expects gratitude and praise in return for his constant providence>>>waiting
Are you sure you wouldn’t want to rephrase that sentence?

Is exercising love require anything in return?

If God can not get appreciation generated from within us, then there is no appreciation demonstrated of value.

Yes, I can exist, but it can be hell without God, so I study, meditate on His word and praise Him every chance I get.

You and I know better than that, for it is a physically impossibility.

Defining what the body and the blood represent is what we should ingest.

The body can be:

Body = seed
“Red”]Psa 132:11 The LORD hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body (thy seed)will I set upon thy throne.

Body = the dead
Isa 26:19 Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.

Body = full of light
Mat 6:22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.

Body = full of darkness
Mat 6:23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!

The point? That the word body represents something other than the real physical body, meaning the substance of His message, the message of sacrifice, the body of evidence.
Are you a Christian, how can anyone tell? Are you part of the body of believers in Jesus as though you are participating in His message?

If yes, then you are partaking of His body.

We know that the blood is the life of the body and Jesus gave it up for us, so we to could participate in His blood (Symbolically) washing away all of our sins with His blood.

Hence, in appreciation, praise and worship, we “remember” Christ’s sacrifice for us, as often as we meet, confirming our commitment to be in union with Him in this life.

To say that I need to belong to the Catholic Church, participate in communion and any other points, is to say that apart from being a catholic, I have no hope.

When in fact, I am saying is that you can be a Catholic, a protestant or a Jew if you like, and still be touched with the spirit of God.

And thats my message, for I discriminate not.

Well, AJ, I guess there is no point in continuing this discussion. You and I are coming from two different worlds, so to speak. We aren’t meeting anywhere. I’ve said what I know that God has revealed. I had the idea that you were Catholic, and therefore understood the real presence of God in the Eucharist. I was mistaken. I wish you well. God bless.

Waiting,

Sorry you feel that way.
I don’t have any problem conversing with anyone about God.
I don’t expect them to adhere to any one thing other than to speak from the heart.

God is open to all to seek and to find, to enjoy and be comforted.

But I understand your position.

Blessings, AJ
