Hello all,

I would like to get couseling for some family issues. I have sought counseling before for the same issues, only it was secular counseling before I began my journey into the Catholic faith. There was such a stigma attached to it, and the guy wanted to cut me wide open. It was not a good experience. I would like to talk to a priest or some other member of the church. But, my husband’s family is well known in our parish, and I do not wish to discuss these issues wirh someone who knows them. It is not a trust issue; I just would rather remain as anonymous as possible. I have praying about these issues, but I think I would really benefit from some counseling. Joint counseling is not an option. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Sherilo

My family has sought counseling in the past and we have had much success with a counselor through Catholic Charities.

Here is their website: catholiccharitiesusa.org/

The top left of the screen has a menu where you can look up their services in your home state.

God Bless and Happy Thanksgiving!🙂
