Where can I purchase a personalized NAB online?

I am sure I am asking this in the wrong place, but I don’t know where to go.

I am looking to purchase a personalized NAB for a friend for Christmas. Does anyone know a website that does this, hopefully for around or below $60?

By personalized, I mean I would like it to have a name engraved on the front (the recipient’s name), which I guess also means it would have to be leather.

So I guess I am looking for a leather NAB that I can have a name added to, for around $60 or less.

I don’t have an answer to where you can do this but if you wish to get a Bible I would choose a better one than the NAB.

if you can’t find A BIBLE . try this. a leather bookcover custom made they have good prices and the work is excellent.
I had my Navarre Bible covered it fits perfectly and had my favorite bible verse on the front.

I have one and its an okay but not a great translation and many members of these forums will tell you that the notes are a disaster, some verging on heretical.

The Navarre Bible is good and the Douey-Rheims with Haydock Commentary is good.

You can probably get one at www.christianbook.com but personally I would recommend the RSV-CE or the Douay-Rheims instead since the notes for the NAB are verging on heretical.

If you are looking for a one-volume Catholic study Bible, unfortunately the NAB is all we have right now. The notes, while annoying because of their sometimes dry and hyper-historical/literary critical approach, are not, strictly speaking heretical. If they were, I’m sure the most orthodox and conservative bishops out there would discourage their use in their sees. I don’t know of any that do.

I personally use the RSV-CE for my primary study and devotional use, but I also own and use several NABs. In parish study groups (which I sometimes lead) you almost always have to use an NAB because that is what everyone else uses and what the parish has at hand.

The best approach when using the NAB is to remember that, while the Scripture is inspired, the footnotes and commentary is not inspired, or even authoritative Church teaching. It is also advisable to supplement it with good, orthodox material, like the Ignatius Study Bible (which is only in paperback, book-by-book serial form at this time).

If Catholic publishers would get off their rears (charitably speaking, of course ) and complete some of these decades long processes of putting together one volume, orthodox, Catholic study Bibles, we would all have more options.
