Where can we find the Biblical basis that tells us how long the Antichrist's reign lasts?

From what I recalled , I thought the Catholic Church believed that the persecution of the Antichrist would be short, 3 1/2 years or so, the tribulation probably a little bit longer. My evangelical friend seems to believe in the 3 1/2 year time frame also.

Where can we find the Biblical basis that tells us how long the Antichrist’s reign lasts?
