Where did the process on how to change the breed and wine into his flesh and blood come about? Is there any early writings on how it was done in the first and second century. I don’t know if I worded this in a good way but I hope y’all understood what I meant to say 🙂

The Prayer of consecration is basically taken straight from the Last Supper.

Justin Martyr was an early Church Father who wrote in the mid Second Century. In one of his apologies, written about 150, he describes the Mass. His description is remarkably similar to our Mass today. Perhaps his apology might mention the consecration.

I mean, the words of institution come right from the New Testament, so is that what you’re asking?
