Where does one go to confession for having had an abortion?

Where does one need to go, for reconciliation after an abortion? At their regular parish or elsewhere?
 
Hi,

To freely choose to have an abortion is not only a mortal sin, but it also carries the penalty of excommunication. In the United States all Catholic priests who are permitted to hear confessions can absolve those who have had abortaions and also reinstate them in the Church.
