Where does St. Martin magazine get those short christian parable lesson stories?

You usually see one in every St Martin magazine and sometimes I even see one in my parish newsletter when they are stuck for stuff to fill it with. They’re nice little short stories (maybe just a paragraph long) designed to communicate across a christian message. You see them in lots of places actually.

Is there a source I can go to to get a collection of these?

I’m surprised apologists don’t make use of them more often. Jesus used parables, so we should really make use of them too.
