The only “hybrid” I can see is something like the Latin OF ad orientem. However, at the moment there doesn’t seem to be too much interest in it.

Agreed. I don’t think it’s popular with either OF or EF crowd. That’s why I personally believe the Pope will make no such move until way later once everyone is settled to introduce a new new Mass.
