Does the Bible explicitly use the words: the Church is the Body of Christ?

THANKS!

It mentions the body of Christ (as the Church) in Ephesians, Romans, 1 Corinthians, Colossians, and it’s also implied in John and Galatians.

There may be others, but those are the ones I found with just a quick search. 😉

Colossians 1:24 - “Christ’s afflictions [were] for the sake of his body, that is, the church.”

Ephesians 1:22-23 - “he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, which is his body.”

Colossians 1:18 - “And he is the head of the body, the church.”

Ephesians 5:23 - “Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior.”

1 Corinthians 12:27 - “Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.”

Romans 12:5 - “So we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.”
