Where in the history of the church would you choose to life if that were possible?
This came up in another thread. It was kind of off topic there, but I found it interesting. I have enjoyed the era from JPII to the current time. It has been filled with some turmoil, but I see a bright future for the Church.

I think the 1800’s to the 1940’s. Of course, I couldn’t live 140 years, but somewhere in that timeframe.

Probably right before Caesar’s reign so 30 years before Christ. Although a person could get killed easily there.

Late fifty and early sixty would be nice … less people and life was perhaps manageable.

I’m content living in the here and now. But I would’ve loved meeting my ancestors, John Carroll (the first Catholic bishop and archbishop in America) and Charles Carroll of Carrollton.

Wow! Defender of Catholic tradition from the earliest days of the U.S.
