Where in Scripture does it discuss Purgatory?

Purgatory is a subject that causes me confusion and fear.

I can’t seem to find anything in Holy Scripture about a place of cleansing or purifying.I use Scriptures as a way to strengthen beliefs and to learn about God’s laws.

Where in Scripture does it mention Purgatory?
