Where in the bible does it say abortion is wrong?

First, where does the bible say that all we must believe is found in the bible? Doesn’t. Then find in the bible what books are supposed to be in the bible so that we know what to believe. Can’t.

We have the Church that defines faith and morals for us. Saint Paul could not rely on scripture to answer the question on circumcision. He had to set the scriptures aside and go to the Church for an answer (Acts 15). Once the Church decided, it was settled for all time. Done.
Big +1 👍👍👍

… but even in this situation… Holy Scriptures makes it pretty darn clear that it’s a sin! We don’t have to look for some long forgotten doctrine defined by a Church father - it’s in black and white.

I would strongly agree with you. The Bible is subject to many misinterpretations and mistranslations. For example, a claim is made that the Bible is pro-choice here:

This, however, is not what the Church has stated.

Is there a quote in the bible that specifies when it’s fine for us to kill another human being? Like when we send people to the electric chair in a very organized and planned way, for example?

Much appreciated, thank you.
Both the OP’s question and this one suggest a manner of thinking about the bible incompatible with what the bible IS. It’s a peculiarly modern notion that the bible should explicitly address any and all issues directly and in two to three syllable words… The bible was clearly never designed to be a catechism or a moral theology textbook. Instead it is the chronicle of God’s gradual revelation of Himself to mankind over the centuries as we were able to receive it.

Over the course of that story, God made it pretty clear what the value of a human being is and that we cannot kill innocent human beings for our benefit or convenience. Thus, abortion is OUT the moment it becomes clear whether an unborn child is a human being or not (pretty conclusively proven by science these days).

Capital punishment has been traditionally justified based on biblical revelations of God’s retribution against unjust aggressors who clearly pose a threat to innocent human beings. Recent popes have begun to wonder if human justice systems can ever be adequate to make this decision and have asked governmental leaders to reconsider capital punishment and use it only as a last resort when no other measures exist to provide reasonable certainty of protection of the innocent against ongoing aggressors. They argue this persuasively to the point where I’m pretty sure we have no need for the death penalty in the USA. But as noted above, that’s a whole 'nother topic than the OP’s. There’s really no doubt about the innocence of the unborn child and there is no longer any real doubt about the humanity of that child either. No rational moral justification for abortion exists.
