I originally put this thread under Moral Theology, and had no luck. I’ll see if moving it to Philosophy does anything to help.

I read recently a short essay by the Orthodox theologian David Bentley Hart, titled "creatio ex nihilo (Radical Orthodoxy 2015). The implications of such a doctrine, as Hart sees it, lead to affirming universal reconciliation. I was fascinated by the thread of argument, and have been searching in vain for responses to his argument and that of others who may affirm apocatastasis for similar reasons; can anyone tell me where one is?

Go here afkimel.wordpress.com/essential-readings-on-universalism/ and you’ll find a long list of books supporting universal reconciliation using scripture, the teachings of many saints, theology and philosophy. Universal reconciliation is a beautiful teaching that goes back to the the very beginning of the Christian faith, but unfortunately has been buried by the misinterpretation of scripture and the scandalous belief that God is a despotic monster.

Do you object to Constantinople II?
