Murder of the innocent is one of the four sins that cry out to Heaven for vengeance, so I’m not surprised. I initially blamed Hurricane Katrina on the homosexuality in New Orleans; it might be God showing His anger about abortion, too. Planned Parenthood didn’t learn anything, of course - they were offering their “services” of contraceptives and abortion to survivors of the hurricane. Thank God for the pregnancy crisis people who were there to offer their good works alongside the PP people.

Pray for us here in the Bay Area. I live 20 min outside SF. San Francisco until recently aborted more babies than were born. Do I need to say more about the homosexuality?
That being said, I don’t personally think it’s one area’s fault, we shouldn’t be so hard on New Orleans. We all will be affected one way or another by disaster due our nation’s sins whether it be volcano, earthquake, tornado, snow, etc. None of us are safe, only though the grace of God will our needs be met.

I wish I could take someone in but we don’t have enough room or money. Keep your faith - it’s the most important thing in the world! I’ll remember you in my prayers.

Comparison of Hurricane Katrina Survivors with Terri Schiavo
  1. For days, Terri Schiavo had to live in conditions that most of us cannot fathom; no food, no water, no one to help her stay alive. For days, many Hurricane Katrina victims had no food, no water, no one to help them stay alive.
  2. In Terri’s case, her so-called husband, backed by law enforcement, forbid her to take any nutrition by mouth once her feeding tube was removed, and a child as young as nine was stopped by police from giving bottled water to Terri, so she just languished for over a week as the federal government, Americans in general, and the world watched. Two New Orleans policemen, overwhelmed by the rescue work called for by Hurricane Katrina, have committed suicide. And water trucks were prohibited from entering New Orleans.
  3. Terri Schiavo’s husband, to demoralize Terri and remove any and all chance of her responding to sensory stimulation, made sure to have any and all curtains or blinds drawn shut to keep out the light of day and keep Terri in the dark. The lights went out on many Hurricane Katrina victims as well.
  4. Terri Schiavo’s husband cut the lines of communication from her nearest relatives even when she was at the extreme point of death. Similarly, communication was cut for many Hurricane Katrina victims.
  5. Terri Schiavo, like too many Hurricane Katrina refugees who suffered violence, was easy prey taken advantage of by a man who intended her harm due to her vulnerability.
  6. Terri Schiavo, like those Hurricane Katrina victims with medical conditions unable to evacuate their homes, was knowingly stranded without life-saving medical care.
  7. Terri Schiavo was guarded like a criminal inside her Florida hospice to prevent her leaving. Hurricane Katrina victims were guarded like criminals inside the Superdome to prevent their leaving.
  8. Terri Schiavo was kicked around from government entity to government entity and debated in the public arena (i.e., Superdome?) like a political football to be dropped rather than being intrinsically valued as an individual human being made in the image and likeness of God. Many footballs were dropped when it came to providing safety for Hurricane Katrina victims, herded around like neglected cattle without the dignity of human beings.
This isn’t the first time the government has failed to defend the lives of innocent citizens. And now the same Americans who have debated Terri’s death by starvation and dehydration are being asked to provide food and water to hurricane survivors.

Really, it all comes down to charity done to the least of our brethren.

Yours for life, “pro-life” that is!

What about Hurricane Rita? It destroyed parts of Port Arthur and the Texas Gulf Coast. And many of the victims were white republicans. What could God be saying to the good decent god-fearing white folks of Texas? Did God make a mistake?

Or is the idea that God makes hurricanes to smite cities for their alleged sins mistaken?

God tells us that sometimes bad things will happen to good people - we will all suffer, regardless of life situation or belief. Does God create natural disasters? Yes, absolutely, he is Lord of All. Are all natural disasters created by God? Not necessarily.
What could God be saying, not only to decent white folk, but to black folk, Christians, Jews, Atheists, etc., etc.?
He could be saying a lot of things! One doesn’t have to look too far to realize the depth of society’s depravity.

I can not see it. Believe it or not there are many places on earth that would draw God’s wrath long before the USA. The USA is not the world leader in abortion, euthanasia, or homosexuality.

Well we are kicking God out of our country so why would he protect us? Planned Parenthood by the way in our country has exported abortion everywhere.

I once had a job offer in New Orleans. I turned it down because I could not stand the dirty, immoral, drunken nature of the place. I flee sin, because I am weak. Blessed are those who face it and go there to save.

As an engineer, I see the biggest problem with New Orleans was hubris. We built a city under the sea, and held the water out with walls. How arrogant that we thought to hold out the sea forever. It was only a matter of time, as any engineer’s assessment could tell you. As much as we try, we cannot truly remake God’s creation. I am truly incredulous that we are rushing back in to rebuild again.

As for San Francisco, California is also only a matter of time, as we all know. The earthquakes must eventually claim it. Perhaps it is less likely than the sea. I am not as knowledgeable about that.

Lastly, the tribulation will come. Christ will come again. It is only a matter of time. Perhaps these are only slight reminders. Let us all try to live well until then.
