Hello everyone…I am going to be in Tampa, FL for 12 weeks for job training…I hate to leave home, but this is a great opportunity…It is only 12 weeks long, but I need to find a nice parish that offers the TLM and I also need to find a great KofC coucil to hook up with while I am down there…anyone have any advice…please let me know. THanks and God Bless, Sonny

Sonny, check out this site for Our Lady of Fatima olfatima.com/.

Sorry, but I’ve never attended mass in that area so can’t give you any specific info. Good luck with your training.

God Bless You,

Unfortunately, the chapel mentioned above is not part of the diocese or in good standing with the Church. The two approved Tridentine Masses in the Diocese of St. Petersburg are:

St. Theresa Church1107 Commercial Way(at 6100 US 19 South)Spring Hill FL 33526Sun at 6:30 AM

Cathedral of St. Jude the Apostle(Lady Chapel)5815 Fifth Avenue NorthSt. Petersburg FL 337431st and 3rd Sun at 12:30 PM

I expect you should be able to find several councils to choose among through the Supreme website Find a Council link (at the top of any page at kofc.org)

Whoops! Sorry about that, Sonny. I must have put my brain on backwards today.

How do you know they are not in good standing with The Church…I am not saying you are wrong…I am just wondering what basis you have for saying such…I liked their website…they seem to be a very orthodox Church…but there could definitely be something about them that I do not know…please tell me what you know. Thanks, Sonny

I did a google search on Tridentine Mass in Florida. Under approved Tridentine Mass near Tampa was the two already mentioned: St. Theresa Church in Spring Hill and Cathedral of St. Jude the Apostle in St. Pete. I checked out the site for Our Lady of Fatima. When I got to that site I noticed links to other churches. The one in Jacksonville, St. Michael the Archangel is NOT a part of our Diocese here (the Diocese of St. Augustine). I happen to belong to the only Church in our Diocese that has an approved Tridentine Mass(Immaculate Conception Church). So I agree with the above poster that the Churches on that website are not a part of their Diocese. It looks like you have two to choose from. I don’t know which one will be closer to where you will be staying. God Bless!🙂

Cool…thanks for the info. I think I am going to try out the Cathedral of St. Jude…I am excited…I can’t wait to go. God Bless everyone, Sonny
