Where can I get one of these? One with 150 knots would be preferred so I can pray the Rule of the Theotokos but whatever’s available I guess is good.

I make them, but am very back-ordered right now. If you’re willing to wait several months I’d be willing to make one for you. But if you’re looking for one immediately I think you can find 150 knot ones at chotki.com

There certainly is nothing wrong with using a Rosary for both the Hail Mary and Jesus prayers.

I found it interesting that on Mt Athos there is a separate rule of Jesus Prayers for those who don’t have a prayer rope . . .

The time spent in saying the Jesus Prayer for various offices is, in that rule, measured by length of time i.e. 15 minutes, 30 minutes etc.

St Paul of Thebes carried two bags slung over each shoulder. One bag had 300 pebbles and he moved one pebble over to the empty bag each time he said his prayer.

There are also special “martyria” or strings with moveable beads on them, like an abacus, that monastics use to count how many “hundreds” of Prayers they say.
