Whether from the view of evolution or creationism, this life is so bizarre!

How did I get stuck in this body, in this crazy world? It’s absurd, but people take it in stride and never question it. Each of us is like a tiny piece of sand at a large beach.

All we know is that all is vanity.

Each one of us is precious in the sight of the Lord. We live in a fallen world, and have the Remedy…Jesus Christ our Lord!

To cooperate with the grace of God makes all things wonderful. We can radiate the love of Christ to others and they can desire the peace we have and receive it.

People don’t always take it in stride and they sometimes do question it. But if we constantly questioned our lives and this world, we could not live with any kind of happiness or joy either for ourselves or for the benefit of others. Nor could we accomplish the daily chores that need to be done. It is the daily tasks and happenings of life, including work and play, that can take our mind off the larger questions, at least for a while. There are also plenty of means of peace and comfort as well as distraction: religion, philosophy, the arts, the sciences, physical pleasures, family, friends, among others.

Well, thanks to the Baltimore Catechism, my thought would be that you, and we, got this body so that we might know, love, and serve God in this world, and be happy with him in the next. From that perspective, not so crazy.

I really do not feel that I’m being negative, but in awe, with great expectations! People, in general, find Ecclesiastes hard to absorb, but it’s one of my favorite books of the bible.
