Friends: Want to get a Bible for a relative who is a single man, and a non-believer, and might I say non-intellectual as well.

Does anyone know of a men’s devotional bible that is a catholic one?

Really need help!!!

Thanks.

As I just converted, shouldn’t I definately get him a Catholic one? Are there any geared for men?

Am thinking about The Catholic Answer Bible. Is this a good one?

Always go with a Catholic Bible since only then will you get all the books. 😃 Unfortunately there isn’t a Catholic study Bible just for men, but until there is, if you are wanting him to learn more about Catholicism, the Catholic Answer Bible would be a good choice. If you want a simple devotional Bible for him, you might consider the Catholic Serendipity Bible, published by Zondervan. It is the NAB without the scholarly (and sometimes distracting) footnotes, but it is packed with practical application, study helps, and even several topical Bible studies for particular groups.

If you go to my web page linked below, you can find out more info about it and other Bible study helps for Catholics.

A stabndard KJV wodk be nice. Its readily available, familiar to most everyone, and one can ge them cheap. Tjis way if he throws it in the trash its not a great rpactical loss. Not to put down Sacred Scripture, but a 5 dolalr “Gift and award” Bible is a lot less to worry ovr than, say , a 25 dollar NAB hardcover.

If you need him to have the Deuterocannon, get a KJV with it.

Just avoid the Oxford world CLassics one.
