Hey everyone. Which Iraqi Christian groups are in full communion with the Holy See, Pope Francis, and the Catholic Church? I was reading about Iraqi Christians on Wikipedia and there are several groups of Christians in Iraq. Numerous Christian groups in Iraq are Catholic according to Wikipedia but I don’t know if they are in full communion with the Holy See, Pope Francis, and the Catholic Church or not. I would appreciate your help in understanding this matter.

Yes, many Iraqi Catholics are Chaldean Catholics in full communion with the Holy See. If you ever go to Chicago or Detroit you could fulfill your Sunday obligation at any of the Chaldean Catholic churches in those areas.

And having attended Mass at the Chaldean Rite parish in West Bloomfield, MI, I highly recommend it!

That pretty well sums it up. 🙂 One small point is that any Maronite presence in Iraq is very small.
