Satanists at least recognize that there is spiritual light and darkness in the world.

On the hand, a couple of my friends are atheists. They’re great to be around.

I suppose it would depend on the culpability/outside influences of any individual satanist or atheist as to how they are in that condition.

I think Satanism is worse, because in choosing it, one is deliberately choosing the enemy of God. Atheism is the belief that there is no God, which might bring it under the mantle of invincible ignorance.

Whether an individual satanist is worse than an individual atheist would depend on their actions, IMO.

God bless them all,

Ruthie

Yeah, a person might be an atheist due to a lack of faith or a lack of knowledge — not so with satanism.

On the other hand, a person would need to have (possibly mitigating) emotional problems to be drawn to satanism, which isn’t true of atheism.

Self-styled Satanists (such as Aleister Crowley) are the worst kind - not Satanists. Modern day Satanists, as Hajnalcsillag pointed out, believe in spiritual light and darkness in the world. Satan to them, is a god, not a demon and does not fall under the biblical interpretation of Satan. Still, they are a lost cause because of their beliefs. They are influenced by the onset of cinema, television and novel characters and popular culture; promoting modern-day Satanists (including vampirism, witches, etc) as part of a “cultural group”. I see them as “characters” and nothing more.

Atheists can be self-centered, egocentric and egomaniacs, but pose the least threat to society. Of course, there are Atheists who challenge religions openly. The activity of such Atheists merely tells me they are in need of dire attention. A real Atheist mostly keeps to himself/herself and couldn’t be bothered less.

Lost is lost, satanist or athiest, the only difference is the duration of and the intensity in which they will burn on the last day. All we can do is to try to continue to bring them the light.🤷

Surely one can be Satanist out of invincible ignorance too - perhaps a profound misunderstanding of who/what Satan really is or something. I’ve heard one or two Satanists who insist that Christianity has misrepresented Satan, so that’s a possibility 🤷

Some people are into Satanism because it simply makes them look or sound “cool”. Compare the teenager in the street today than the ones back in the 50’s or 80’s even.

I have been listening to heavy metal music ever since i was in my teens and i love watching horror movies. I love the sounds of crunching guitars, heavy bass and the loud and rapid drumming. The gorier the horror movie, the better. Despite my interests, i have grown to love Christianity even more. I guess it is due to my strong beliefs in God, rather than subdue myself to “popular culture”.

Neither are worse.

I’m not sure about atheists, but if you meet the right agnostic, you’ll find out that their insights are infinite!

Satanists… it depends on which you’re talking about. “Reverse Christians” suck. Teenage dabblers suck. LaVeyan Satanists are… decent. They have a pretty legitimate faith going on-- nothing I agree with, but I looked into it for verification; their philosophy is…interesting.

Ironically Yours, Blade and Blood

Satanists know that God exists but choose Satan for the power he gives. Real generational satanists are truly evil. The dabblers may not understand what they are choosing.
