I have always wondered this do I thought I might ask it.

Which one of these religions in general go to heaven?

Islam, Catholicism, Protestantism, or Judaism.
Do they all go to heaven or does only one sect go to heaven?
If so, then why?

I assume you mean the members of the religion rather than the religion itself. The answer is each religion has its own beliefs on the issue. According to Judaism, there is a share of the World to Come for members of every religion and even for those who have no religion. It depends to a certain extent on the good deeds one does and is capable of doing in this life; however, ultimately, it is G-d’s decision based on His justice and mercy.

That sounds a whole lot like the Catholic position on the question, at least in the limited way I understand it.

Who goes to heaven? The one who does the will of the Father in heaven. Salvation is not an elite social club (at least not one that man can organize). Every religion that has taught such has faded or will fade out of existence.

The Catholic position is that “outside the Church, there is no salvation”, but this has often been misinterpreted saying that only Catholics can go to Heaven. The Church believes that only God knows the depths of our hearts and that, even people who have lived wicked lives can be saved if they genuinely repent of their sinfulness (even if such repentance occurs at the very end of their lives). It is considered possible that those who have never heard of Christ or are otherwise prevented from joining God’s Church can be saved through “implicit baptism of desire” (in other words, they would have become Catholic if they had had the chance to, or understood the necessity of it, or rejected the Chuch not due to real teachings but due to what they thought the Church taught or due to scandal, etc.) The meaning behind “outside the Church, there is no salvation” is actually, “outside Jesus Christ, there is no salvation, and the Church, the bride of Christ, was founded by Him to bring the souls of all humanity to Himself”.
