Which of the following aspects are present in faithful and lively parishes?

How important are the following in maintaining growth and vitality among Catholic parishioners (operationally defined by visible signs of charity and mercy, not just friendliness, but instead by things such as: blood drives, food and clothing drives for charity, visits to shut ins and nursing homes, high rates of volunteering, and especially recent vocations to the priesthood and religious life.
 
I didn’t vote but am surprised to see that you did not list faith formation for adults or children.

The last choice reads “strong, ongoing formation for adults”.

I have found that every parish I’ve belonged to or visited (based on scans of their bulletin) have faith formation for children. And this is based on visits to a large number of parishes over the last few years.

So “faith formation for children” in particular isn’t itself a differentiator.

Well, again, as with childhood formation, every single parish I’ve been to has ministries, many ministries. So they don’t appear to be a key differentiator in lively parishes. They may be a natural outcome of the Holy Spirit acting through people in the parish, but they don’t seem to be cause.

My parish has about 85 separate ministries…and it’s unfortunately a fairly lukewarm and large parish.
 
I think I was looking for RCIA / Bible study / Religious Education, and I just didn’t see the ongoing faith formation item, sorry.

We have 65 ministries in our tripled membership in 3 years, 13,000 member Traditional Parish; several active youth groups. We’re 45 miles south of DC. 7 choirs for our 7 weekend masses, youth in each. Adoration 24/7 during the week; long confession lines to 3 priests on Saturday, twice during the week. 7 Legion of Mary Praesidia, focused on door-to-door. Large RCIA; many in Parish are Converts; I’m revert of 20 years ago.

I think I know which parish this is. I am in the Marine reserves and my unit is based in Quantico. And I’ve gotten to know the parishes there. My guess is it’s either St William of York. Or it’s St Patricks.

Mass celebrated according to the rites, norms and instructions of the Church. there is no, repeat no, value in fretting about music, social events, even language of Mass if the focus does not remain on the Eucharist. Since even return to Latin and traditional forms can be in a subtle way a means of crowd pleasing, and horizontality to please the congregation, abandoning verticality, that is, offering worship from the community, with Christ through the priest, to God, that by itself is irrelevant.
