I just finished reading ‘Milestones’ his autobiography (and I agree with whom wrote in the back cover: “this is Ratzinger ‘the person’, and he is a joy to meet!”). I highly recommend it. :yup:

I also read ‘The Ratzinger Report’ an interview by Vittorio Messori and now I am reading ‘Salt of the Earth’ (an interview by German journalist Peter Seewald). I loved the way Cardinal Ratzinger answered every question: with depth and great knowledge, with honesty, with patience. I feel very grateful that such an intelligent, wise and holy man is our Pope!! :clapping:

I plan to read ‘God and the world’ (also an interview by Peter Seewald), but when I finish reading all these interviews I would like to read some of the books Cardinal Ratzinger actually wrote. I understand there are more than forty!!! Have you read any of them? Would you please recommend me one in particular? Which one did you like best and why?

Thank you!!

:blessyou:

So far, it has been Salt of the Earth. It has been the easiest to read of his books. God in the World is a little harder. I am about 1/2 way through that book. It goes alot deeper into his Theological/Philosophical mindset.

If you really want to make you head hurt, read Principles of Catholic Theology. Most of it went way over my head.
