Which Parish?!

I’ve recently moved back home to where I grew up (sorry, that’s a little redundant). My mother is Catholic and my father is a very supportive Baptist who goes to Mass with us when we go as a family. The problem is, that is not very often. I’ve decided for myself to go back to church and get into the good habit again. The thing is, I’m torn between to parishes. My favorite church, where I was confirmed and had the most religious awakenings is SMG and the other church has music that I grew up with in my childhood in Georgia and is the one my mom prefers, St. Joe’s. I’m doing this for me to get back into a good relationship with God (though I feel strongly that is has always been present) and to get myself in the habit of the minimum weekly worship. I’ve been praying about it, but I still don’t know which one to choose. I now realize, reading this over, that this is more of a personal choice issue than a forum one, but I still welcome any insight.

Which one does your mother prefer? Perhaps you could encourage her to attend with you.

Or you could visit both, alternating for a few weeks, and see which one works out best for you.

All other things equal, choose the parish in which you reside (there are usually geographic boundaries).

The important thing is that you do attend Mass regularly, no matter which one you choose.
