My parish are now using the new mass translation, which is somewhat confusing and leading to a lot of paper rustling!
Anyway, the second reading today (Romans 12.1) read ‘do not model yourselves on the behaviour of the world around you’
My question is, does anybody know which bible translation this has come from?
I have checked my Olive tree which has NRSV, American standard version & KIng James. It isn’t any of them.
Confused?

You’re in the UK? I think they use the Jerusalem Bible translation.

The new Jerusalem translation says "
Do not model your behaviour on the contemporary world…"

It’s definitely *The Jerusalem Bible *(1966). And it’s actually Romans 12:2.

The translation of the Bible used for Mass has nothing to do with the new translation of the Roman Missal, by the way.
