White House: Like Obama, Surgeon General Nominee Benjamin Pro-Abortion

Washington, DC – White House officials have confirmed that President Barack Obama’s nominee for Surgeon General may be a Catholic, but agrees with his pro-abortion position. Regina Benjamin is a well-regarded Alabama physician who has been honored by the Catholic Church for helping poor residents of her state.

Another so-called catholic who is a pro-abort??? Why? What happened to following Catholic teaching before you call yourself a Catholic? Someone who has authority within the Catholic Church needs to do something… say something,… make it clear that people can’t keep calling themselves Catholic if they aren’t !!!

True that. People would certainly blast you if you were a feminist, but pro-life. . Why not hold the same standard to the opposite?
 
Obama hates the Catholic Church. This is his way of trying to undermine the Church by appointing all these “Catholic in name only” politicians. He can hold these people up as being “Catholic” - which only spits in the faces of those who truly are Faithful and makes us look like idiots.

But - as one of the wonderful priests recently told me in confession (when I was really getting bent out of shape over the whole thing) - there have been many many rulers who have tried to defeat the Church, who have been evil and horrible men. And now, no one even knows who they are unless they look in a history book, and then it’s only a small paragraph.

And yet — here is the Catholic Church.:highprayer: The gates of hell shall not prevail. :knight1: 😃

Sometimes I think the Church should trademark the title “Catholic” and revoke permission to use this title from anyone who doesn’t follow Church teaching.

(I am not really serious… but sometimes Catholic-buts* make me so mad.)
    • Catholic-but : Anyone who uses the word “but” in a sentence immediately after saying they are Catholic.
 
I worry that people will look at some of these pro-abortion politicians that call themselves Catholic and think to themselves, “Well, if Catholics support it then it must be okay.” It sets a really bad example. No Catholic should be pro-abortion. I hope we don’t get a pro-abortion surgeon general.

That’s why Obama is packing his administration with pro-abortion Catholics.
