Hello,

I am a woman, and I am a tomboy (unusual). When I was a girl I used to dream of becoming a police or joining an army, and I like wearing man’s clothing. I want to be a brave soldier of God in battle against devil. The patron saint I have in mind are St. Joan of the Arc and St. George. If I am to pick one of the two, who would you recommend for my patron saint?

Thank you,

Nothing wrong with choosing both! Joan-George has a pleasant ring to it!

I like George, it was the name of my great grandfather, grandfather, dad and brother. I like the pictures of St George slaying the Dragon.

Now I was in the USAF for 11 years and we LOVED St Joan.

I don’t see why you couldn’t have both names!

The USAF was a great thing for me. I enlisted right after graduation and loved it. Hubby was also in the USAF. I got my college through the GI Bill and we both have all our medical care at our local V.A. Hospital.

Drop me a line if you’d like more information! : )

I think Joan of Arc would be perfect, too! 🙂

As an aside, I love the exact card pictured beneath, and sometimes carry one around with me. Mine’s laminated though, and I’m not sure exactly where get to them. The one below is paper alone, though maybe they also have laminated ones. (?) It’s a really nice card to hold in your hand; it has a good feel and look to it. And there’s a beautiful Novena to St. Joan of Arc printed on the reverse side.

Sometimes we choose a patron saint…but sometimes they choose us!
They really call people unto themselves. Why don´t you just pray to God and ask Him if he has a particular patron saint provided for you?
