Who gets into heaven?

If anyone in the OT could go to heaven, (as we describe heaven) before Jesus came, then they didn’t need Jesus and we wouldn’t need a NT the OT would be fine.
Now that’s just silly. The redemption Christ offers is eternal from God’s perspective. Besides, whether or not they entered Heaven upon death is different from whether or not they had sanctifying grace in life. Frank Sheed describes this well in Theology and Sanity.
Are you again trying to eliminate the sacrament Jesus established?
No, I go to confession every few weeks.
IOW, all a Catholic has to do in your world, is become a protestant and they don’t have to go to confession any longer to get mortal sin forgiven? They can just pray?
A Catholic cannot do this if he knew Confession was normative – i.e., part of Christ’s will. It’s always a sin to knowingly and freely reject God. Now do all Catholics who become Protestants knowingly do so? That’s God’s judgment, not mine.

Where did Jesus go immediately after His death? And Why?

you are eliminating the necessity of the sacrament in your argument when it comes to protestant people. So IOW THEY get to write their own rules?

John ( inspired by God to teach )
1 Jn 5:16 If any one sees his brother committing what is not a mortal sin, he will ask, and God[a] will give him life for those whose sin is not mortal. There is sin which is mortal; I do not say that one is to pray for that. 17 All wrongdoing is sin, but there is sin which is not mortal."

So,

I CAN recognize non mortal sin & mortal sin, AND I can recognize if another person is/has committed a mortal sin.

If it’s NOT recommended to pray for the forgiveness of Mortal sin, because it’s obviously not effective for THAT sin, how is one then to get rid of that sin on their soul and how do they know it’s gone??

Yes everyone is right in the dogmatic way that they have been taught to believe.
An example is the SDA teaching of Soul Sleep.
And they believe Moses didn’t die.
Oh well.
But the Catholics believe that bread and wine are changed …every time. At mass.
And the Word-Of-Faith. Are waiting for the “manifestation” of an answered prayer.
And the prespaterians Believe in sassation of the gifts of the holly spirit
Except that

The Catholic Church is 2000 yrs old. Established by Jesus Himself. Not even the gates of Hell will prevail against His Church that He builds on Peter and those in union with Peter. And with that, Jesus also established the Eucharist Himself, as He did all His sacraments for our salvation and the promises that go along with that. Jesus hates division. His will is for not just unity but PERFECT union. IOW ZERO division

AS FOR

The SDA’s, Word of Faith, Presbyterians, etc etc etc down to today,

THEY are ALL divisions that came from the 16th century Protestant revolt. All of that activity is an example of just more heresy in history, which BTW is condemned activity in the bible, the very book THEY say is their sole source of truth. AND because it goes directly against Our Lord’s prayer, they should ALL look at the consequences mentioned in scripture for those who create such divisions and keep it going.

I would strongly recommend to the OP that he speak with a reliable theologian and/or priest in re: his questions, as they seem to be numerous, as well as being really beyond the scope of our forum here.

The Catholic Church does not condemn anyone to hell. Only God can judge our actions.
