According to the Catholic Church can non Catholics, such as lapsed Baptists who believe in Christ but don’t belong to any religion, (a close relative) get to Heaven?

As I understand it, yes, but not in a predictable fashion. “Extraordinary grace,” I think it’s called.

Hope, the Church reaches that God wills all to be saved.

Whether an individual goes to heaven or not depends on what they know, and what they do with that knowledge.

We can’t say whether a hypothetical person such as the one you present here goes to heaven. What we can say is that one such as he is not excluded from the possibility of obtaining heaven.

Very good video. I think he explains it pretty well. In the end he sums it up by saying by God’s grace and our choosing Jesus (the choices we make, saying yes to Jesus) we get to heaven and not by drifting.

By what Father Mike says in the video, I would definitely pray for your baptist friend.

Hope why don’t you read the relevant Church documents. Or start having all these conversations with your Priest. And tell him you are converting to ND.

I didn’t say I was converting, I said that I was thinking about it. This is a public forum, the purpose is to have “all these conversations.”

And looking through the topics you’ve created lately I dare saying you’re thinking a lot about it.
Don’t fool yourself, don’t commit apostasy, don’t loose Heaven.

Yes, but out of respect for those who may spend significant time posting answers, it is polite to search the forum for similar threads before creating a new one. That way, your questions may already answered, and we can talk about the things that have not already been posted!

Here is a good set of words to put in your search, Hope:

extra ecclesiam nulla salus
