God permits evil, God does not create evil.
Verse 7I form the light, and create darkness:
I make peace, and create evil:
I the Lord do all these things.
Isaiah 45:7
Respectfully opinion only confused with ones postI should amend my posts to say that I’m speaking of physical evils, not moral evils.
Jesus came to show and teach us evil is>>>>>an act of a higher power of ones mind, thoughts, comes out from within, our choices>Prov 7:19 Jesus teaching on moral evils?Lack wholeness<<>> James is speaking about in his Epistle? Seek to restore ourselves to wholeness within…then we can>>>> Love Me with your whole Heart Soul and Mind>> controls our physical actions, controls our tongue, our speech, determines our personal morals and behaviors actions taken >> toward others good or bad, good or evil?
Respectfully opinion only when ponderingGod permits evil, God does not create evil.
John 18:36 >>My kingdom is not of this world…He does not >join to evil
He does not >permit evil
< created evilHe does not >>allowed nor tolerate, such evils to exist or to enter into His
Kingdom
Where Peace, Harmony and Righteousness lives, does it not?
Do not believe our Heavenly Father, would ever take away, His gift of Free Will from us, would He? Why? >Why have you created such evils within your Kingdom?
Why have you permitted such evils to continue in your Kingdom?
Why have you allowed such evil to exist within your Kingdom?
Why have you failed to do nothing about such evils within your Kingdom?
Respectfully opinion only in pondering:thinking:I cannot follow I’m sorry.
Basic stuff.
God does not create evil. God is the good.
God permits evil.
It’s a little like asking if the sun makes dark. As other posters have proposed,
God’s permissive will
God’s perfect will.
Russell, I’m sorry but that is just relativism empty of morality.Once you pick your goal of your world view, you can have “ought” and “is” statements. So world views with a social goal can have “ought” and “is” statements about morally.
Mistakes vs evil in reference to the goal of that world view seem to be differentiated by the level of knowledge of actions that are detrimental to the goal of your world view. “Mistakes” are people being convinced they have picked the best pathway towards the goal of their world view but it ends up causing more problems than it solved. This is just being ignorant of that choice. “Evil” actions are where people knowingly pick the pathway counter to the goal of their world view to intentionally impede the progress society and other people have advanced towards that goal. That’s how I understand things.
So to your question of “who” invented evil? We did. We needed a label for the actions of people that have convinced us that they fully understood that their actions were to impede our progress towards our goal of human well-being through various world views. The idea of pointing at superstitious mythical entities is just a distraction.
