I know Jesus and Mary, but there are some people from the Old Testament as well, right?

I remember something about a chariot taking somebody up to Heaven, but I don’t know who or where in the Bible. Anybody have a list of who has been assumed bodily into Heaven and where in Scripture it is located?

There are two other… the names escape me… Issac and elijah???

doesn’t one go straight to heaven in a firey chariot or something, and i think the other is just raised…

i probably have both wrong… someone will correst me…

2 Kings 2:11: And as they still went on and talked, behold, a chariot of fire and horses of fire separated the two of them. And Eli’jah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

scripturally in heaven: Jesus, Mary, Enoch, Elija.

i would add moses to that list. he’s seen at the transfiguration, and we’re told in scriptures that michael and satan battled for his body. i make the assumption (pun intended) that michael won.

the possibility exists (we’re never really told) that those who were resurrected with Jesus were also assumed - it could be, however, that they died twice…

if you need me to quote the scriptures, i can (i’m just feeling a bit lazy at the moment…)

Hebrews 11:5

5By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death; he could not be found, because God had taken him away. For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God.

2 Kings 2

**Elijah Taken Up to Heaven **
Code:
1 When the LORD was about to take Elijah up to heaven in a whirlwind, Elijah and Elisha were on their way from Gilgal. 2 Elijah said to Elisha, "Stay here; the LORD has sent me to Bethel."
But Elisha said, "As surely as the LORD lives and as you live, I will not leave you.

11 As they were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind. 12 Elisha saw this and cried out, "My father! My father! The chariots and horsemen of Israel!" And Elisha saw him no more. Then he took hold of his own clothes and tore them apart.
