God is spirit. He doesn’t have hands.
Being at the right hand of someone is an expression which denotes might and power so left hand is rather irrelevant and shouldn’t be taken literally.

God was only spirit, but he took on flesh at the incarnation. Ever since, he has also been human.
I suppose the queen in gold of ophir (Psalm 45:9) sits at his right hand. That would be Mary, Queen of Heaven and Earth. I suppose his Prime Minister Peter sits at his left. All supposition on my part.

Well, we’re talking about the Father.
I should say that “to sit at one’s right hand” means…something like ‘right-hand man’: as mentioned to be in a position of privilege and authority. The right direction historically had a lot of positive things associated with it. (Come on, ‘dexterity’, ‘righteousness’, heck even ‘ambidexterity’, having ‘both right [hands]’.) The left…not so much. ‘Sinister’ or having ‘two left feet’ come to mind; for the record, the word ‘left’ itself comes from Old English left, which could also mean ‘weak’ or ‘useless’. Go figure.

I think it was in Milton’s Paradise Lost that the whole idea of God having left-hand and right-hand points at which someone sat was first made popular.
In Paradise Lost, Messiah (Christ) sat at God’s right hand, and Lucifer sat at God’s left hand—until his expulsion from Heaven. The implication is that this is the origin of the left hand side being the sinister side.

The references for being at God’s right hand are of course much earlier:
The Lord said to my Lord: Sit thou at my right hand: Until I make thy enemies thy footstool.—Psalm 109 (110)
And the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God.—Mark 16:19

Sinister is earlier than Milton or Christianity. Sinistra is Latin for left hand. I’ve read it began to take on a negative meaning in the Latin era but even in English sinister had a bad connotation by sometime in the 1400s.

And, thinking about it, I think the traditions of the Arabs regarding the left hand might give us insight.
