Are lambs supposed to love wolves? How are lambs supposed to love wolves?

If you are talking about animals, it is natural for them love their own kind. Lambs and wolves are not expected to love each other.

If you are using figurative language and talking about people, then we believe and hope that “lambs” and “wolves” may co-exist in peace and love, since we are all God’s children. However, in our imperfect world, wolves eat lambs, and the lambs would do well to avoid wolves and take reasonable measures for self-protection. Even so, the lambs should hope and pray that the wolves may repent, love, and be saved.

Are you referring to these verses?

Isa.11[6] The wolf shall dwell with the lamb,
and the leopard shall lie down with the kid,
and the calf and the lion and the fatling together,
and a little child shall lead them.

Isa.65[25] The wolf and the lamb shall feed together,
the lion shall eat straw like the ox;
and dust shall be the serpent’s food.
They shall not hurt or destroy
in all my holy mountain, says the LORD."

Neither says they will “love” each other, only that they will not harm each other. Where do you get the idea that they will love each other or that they should? 🙂

“But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you” Mt 5:44

I have read the love is to will the good of the other as other.

The peace of Christ,
Mark
