Who Will the Anti-Christ Be?

Anyone who denies Lord Jesus Christ, but also us…if we do not obey His words and follow them from day to day.
 
The anti-christ is said to take the form of Jesus so that even the elect will fail to see the truth…
 
How could AC ever take the form of Jesus? Jesus’s message is clear and straightforward.

Rather than fretting about who(or what) the anti-christ is, wouldn’t it be much batter if we all focused on getting to know the true Christ so well that when anyone comes along exhibiting the spirit of antichrist, we recognize it immediately? just my :twocents:
 
This would seem to be true in normal context, however, the starter of this thread has prompted us to share our ideas about who the Anti-Christ will be.
 
Whomever it will be, I think we can be sure that person will be well-versed in both politics and religion. A magnetic personality, intelligent and possessing a cool head when under stress. In short, a ready-made media star. Who is there in the political arena that fits that description? I have no idea. Time will tell.

Kind of like in Father Elijah by Michael O’brien… this is a great book by the way!
 
I have a very devout friend, of very sound mind who strongly believes he has seen the Final Antichrist in the flesh. Or at least the False Prophet. He heard an obscure story a couple of years ago that a “holy man” had just come out of years of meditation in the wilderness over in the Middle East I think he said. Intrigued by this, (and bare in mind that my friend is a down to earth non-excitable lawyer), he looked for the man on Youtube. As soon as the video started playing, he says, it was as if all the light in his house had gone out. The lightbulbs still shone but the atmosphere in the room became intensely, evilly dark. Fear gripped my friend at the site of this “man” (but he hesitates to call it a man). Never before had he experienced fear like this. Unable to bare it he turnes off the video. For the next week he was plagued with the most horriffic nightmares of his life, in which his children burned to death while ab evil priest lauged like a demon. Six months later, thinking perhaps he had somehow imagined all this he tried to watch the video again. Same horrible atmosphere. Another week of nightmares. He has warned and made promiseme to NOT ever look up this video. I offer the same warning. There is a fear in his eyes when he speaks of these events. He is of the opinion that this thing is waiting to reveal itself. I believe him. Again I beg everyone in here, however curious, do NOT look up this video!

I have read enough creepy pasta to know what you are doing sir. You are telling a vague tale that is meant to frighten people and stir the pot. Until their is a link posted to said video you are a liar.
 
I am hurt you would call me a liar in matters pertaining to the Faith! I would never ever do suchh a thing! No no I would not! I have no desire to stir the pot. I am a believing practicing Catholic.

Then link to the video! Otherwise your post is fear-mongering and doing us a disservice in the case that this person is the AC! Let us know with whom we are dealing.
 
My friend, I could not tell you as my friend I mentioned would not tell me videos names for fear I would look into it myself. I cannot retract what I have been told by him. I would lie if I said he didnt tell me these things. I beg your forgiveness if I have harmed your peace. But if you need check my credibility, check other posts I have made on this site. I have never spoken contrary to Church teaching. I would not start now, especially it veing the day of Our Lord’s Passion. I shall not mention this again if it causes you such disquiet.
 
And it is a bit disquieting to me that so many seek to find the AC in the form of a single human person. St. John tells us that the AC is anyone who denies Christ:
Children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come (1 John 2:18)

Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son. (1 John 2:22)

So therefore: the “antichrist” has been around since Jesus’s birth, and lives among us now: Effective to think of the “antichrist” as a belief or spirit that is present the world. (see the earlier posts of TimothyH)

IMHO That disturbed kid in Layp3rson’s mysterious video is likely to have renounced christ and therefore represents the antichrist, log on to youtube and you can see hours of the same sort of filth on the lips of our brothers. Jesus wants us to reclaim them for his kingdom.
