St. Maria Goretti.
Although, there are two other young martyrs of the church that are brought to my mind.
One other is St. Dymphna, although she is known as the patroness of nervous and mental disorders. Her own father had her beheaded because she would not agree to marry him after her own mother had died.
He was beside himself with grief over the death of his wife, and she bore a strong resemblance to her mother, and in his deep grief, he wanted to marry his own daughter.
St. Philomena also comes to my mind. She was also martyred. She was a consecrated virgin when she died. The Roman Emperor Diocletian wanted to marry her, and when she refused, he had her tortured, and eventually beheaded.
