Why are they not called Scholasticans instead of Benedictines?

As far as I am aware monastic orders are named after their founder (Benedictines) or after the place where they were founded (Cistercians). Although St Benedict did not set out to found an order he wrote the Rule that the Benedictines follow. They nuns who follow this Rule are called Benedictines like the monks. St Scholastica did not write any rule.
