Why are my favourite hymns missing from "Glory & Praise"?

I have attended Eucharistic Adoration a handful of times and eventually my idleness (short attention span) causes me to flip through the worn copies of “Glory & Praise” in front of me. I quite enjoy reading the poetry of the older hymns. But I am a Protestant and all of the copies of “Glory & Praise” I have looked through have always included my three favourite hymns. I’m wondering if there is a specific reason why (e.g. it clashes with Catholic belief)? The hymns are:

Come Thou Fount Of Every Blessing
Before The Throne Of God Above
Here Is Love

Glory and Praise is a songbook with almost exclusively contemporary music (from the 70s and 80s). Many of the songs came out of the Charismatic Renewal. So you won’t find many hymns of any sort in it.

In the 1990’s, Glory and Praise was purchased by Oregon Catholic Press, which removed many of the songs and altered the words of many of the remaining songs to reflect their obsession with “Catholic” social justice and so that they could avoid calling God Father or using masculine pronouns. However, I don’t recall ever seeing the hymns you mentioned in even the oldest Glory and Praise books.
