I want to know about the psychology of you. Why can you confidently say that you’re a children of Creator God, with the courage?

I have a doubt for that I become a children of God, by the baptism. Because, I don’t find any godliness in me, but finds the unholiness and dirtiness.

I’m curious how do you think that you’re a children of God when you have been born as human. The human shares some part of the function of body with the animals and insects. Like we eat/drink things and they get out from body. We have a genital. These are what animals and insects also does and nothing special. And I think these are too worldly.

However, I don’t think anyone would venerate and/or respect me as holy person. Though that is just and right. Only one thing that gonna respect me is the house dogs, if I had one.

So how can the ppl like me gonna think like that I’m gonna become a children of God, by baptism—by any chance?

I’m a son of God because God adopted me .

Much tells me that it isn’t true , but I have daily to remind myself of my true identity .

This sermon by Father Henri Nouwen says it well .

I am God’s child because God called me into the faith through baptism, and God promises that through faith I am his son, adopted in Christ Jesus. God is faithful, when he gives his promise, he fulfills it.
