Why aren't Dems mad at RBG?

The answer as to why she didn’t step down is simple: She wanted to continue to have her say on the court to the very end. She had gone through an era when women were discriminated against in the legal professions, and she was determined to not let anyone-- particularly any man – try to influence her career choices. Maybe it was a selfish attitude – but then, maybe she felt she could continue to do some good for as long as she was physically able to. Anyway, she sent a clear message – DON’T MEDDLE.

and aren’t Democrats mad at her for that? Or are they secretly mad at her?
This is quite a leap of imagination. Do you often read secret feelings into other people, particularly people you don’t agree with?

Life is complicated enough without this sort of mental projection.

“Dems” and many others appear to be pleased that Justice Ginsburg labored so hard, consistently, and long for good principles like equal protection under the law.

It is a pity that equal protection did not extend so far as to the unborn.

From what I have read, many Dems were angry when she died before Jan. 20, 2021.

Apparently she wanted to be replaced under the first woman president.

I presume she, like most of the rest of the country, assumed Hillary Clinton would win the election.

Hillary replacing RBG would have been a big women’s rights moment.

Didn’t quite work out as planned.

I then presume that RBG decided to try to hang on in hopes the Dems would win the next election.

That didn’t quite work out as planned either.

Praised be Jesus Christ, and in His name dear God let Amy Coney Barrett be confirmed ASAP.

I have also heard some rumblings from “Dems” when RBG occasionally voted in a manner they didn’t like on particular Supreme Court cases.

However, they keep their criticism to themselves for the most part, realizing that it is very hard to criticize such a legendary Justice who was not only a women’s rights pioneer but is also of Jewish heritage. There was a ton of anti-Semitism in the legal profession during the time RBG was building her career.

Biden?
I was unaware that he was going to be the first female president.

As @Tis_Bearself said, RBG did not retire under Obama thinking Hillary would win. She then didn’t retire under Trump as she did not want to be replaced by him.

Some Ds expressed anger that she had not retired under Obama.

My comment was unclear; I’m sorry.
