I think Catholics are a lot more positive toward Orthodoxy in real life than on CAF.
I certainly hope you are correct.I think Catholics are a lot more positive toward Orthodoxy in real life than on CAF.
recentrevert;13549662:
1). The Popes isn’t a “super bishop” nor has he ever claimed to be a “bishop of bishop’s,” although the heretic Tertullian did assign him that title. There is no super bishop in the Church. There is no bishop of bishops, there never was before 1054.
East never accepted purgatory.
East always practiced divorce, even Christ Himself allowed it.
Contraception? Why you Roman-Catholics are so much in to other people’s sex, you made legalism everywhere, now you enter people’s bedrooms with your laws that 99% of your baptized members don’t respect.
2). The Lord Jesus Christ did not allow for remarriage in the case of adultery. You are simply promoting heresy.
3). That doesn’t equate to an actual argument against the Church’s position on contraception. The use of contraception is an unnatural act, worthy of condemnation, just like the sin of Onan.

But it was not this way from the beginning. 9 I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, and marries another woman commits adultery.”
- Pope is not a super bishop? Dude, look at his role in your Church.
- Matthew 19:8-0
- Using modern toilet is unnatural act.
We are not meant to be ‘positive’ towards Eastern Orthodoxy because we are Catholics and regard it in the light of Faith and reason as a corruption of the religion Jesus gave us and a rejection of Catholicism. We are, however to recognise, with due prudence, the truth and goodness found within their teaching and to respect and love those caught in this snare while at the same time proclaiming the true Gospel to them.I certainly hope you are correct.
Most Catholics are not Catholics, in the sense that they are heretics and apostates and the vast majority of those who both accept the teachings of the Church and practise their religion are very ignorant and misled because neither their parents or priests have made any serious effort to teach them the Faith and its rational implications according to their ability to understand.(Btw, I don’t know the exact numbers of Catholics who are on CAF, but I know it is fewer than 489,830, and therefore less than 0.05% of Catholics overall.)
This does not at all accord with Catholic teaching concerning the Orthodox. We are not meant to be ‘positive’ towards Eastern Orthodoxy because we are Catholics and regard it in the light of Faith and reason as a corruption of the religion Jesus gave us and a rejection of Catholicism. We are, however to recognise, with due prudence, the truth and goodness found within their teaching and to respect and love those caught in this snare while at the same time proclaiming the true Gospel to them.
Thank you for saying that, recentrevert. I’m honestly so tired of traditionalist Catholics saying that they love Orthodoxy even while they are attacking it.We are not meant to be ‘positive’ towards Eastern Orthodoxy
