If Jesus was a Jew, and as His followers we are to follow Him, why shouldn’t we be Jewish? And since Christ was Jewish, why did He establish the Roman Catholic faith as the one, true faith?
That’s like saying that the English founded the United States. We are United States citizens. So why arennn’t we English?
Christ came to fulfill the Old Law. He is God and chose to found His Church, based on the fulfillment of the Jewish Law. The new has replaced the old. Furthermore, He extended His Church to all people, Jew and Gentile alike. We are Christians, disciples of the Messiah.
