I am not catholic, in fact I don’t follow any religion. I DO believe in God however. My husband took his own life on the 16th November last year, 2012, & I am totally lost without him. Whilst vacuuming the floors today, I could smell incense burning. I can’t say what fragrance it was, I couldn’t pin it down. But I know that I could & still can smell it. David loved God & in fact was going to be a Minister, but having a young family prevented him from following his dream.
I have read that smelling fragrances can possibly have something to do with the afterlife. Is this true? If not, why can I smell it.
Concentrating on the fragrance right at this moment, I would have to identify it a roses.
I am totally lost without my love. Please answer this question for me.
Awaiting your reply eagerly,
Glenys Bowman.

Dear friend,

It is true that sometimes the presence of a fragrance with no apparent origin can be a sign of God’s favor. Perhaps the Lord is calling you to come closer. Feel free to contact me privately by clicking on my name and then “Contact info” and then “send a private message.”
You are in our prayers.

Fr. Vincent Serpa, O.P.
