Someone once said, “If you were to read the early Church Fathers( Clement, Ignatious,Justin Martyr,Irenaeus…)you would have to stop being Protestant.”

 Fall in love with these early  followers of Jesus and his twelve apostles.

I found a great little book out there, a very readable story of these four early church men.

Yeah, I read that book also when I was considering becoming a Christian. It along with other books such as ‘Catholic and Christian’ by Alan Schreck helped steer me to the Catholic Church.

I would recommend it to everyone…Catholic and Non-Catholic alike…

I liked this book so much I bought an extra copy to donate to the parish library.

I saw Rod when he gave his testimony on The Journey Home a few yrs ago. That’s why I bought the book.

I think it’s written in a very readable style, with the author’s story interspersed with writings of the Church Fathers.

I’ll have to take a look into that… I’ve been meaning to get my hands on the writings of the early Church Fathers (and some Saints while I’m at it…) for some time now. Any more suggestions?

Just to double-check. How is the orthodoxy of this author?
