I think that NFP can be scandalous to some.
Bold admission. Truly.
OTOH If a couple is using NFP it is a safe bet it is because it leaves open the possibility for God’s action in their reproductive life.
Only if they’re sloppy. Otherwise, it leaves about the same chance as hormonal birth control and condoms.

And as a further consideration, if God wants a woman to become pregnant, then she’s going to become pregnant. Dipping her waist-down in steel-reinforced concrete wont help.
Sorry I didn’t mean you. I mean the technology of artificial contaceptive devices uses terms that betray their true meaning. A human life is conceptualized as a failure. The more human life conceived the more the technology fails.
With respect, the same statistical language applies to NFP.

As the goal is “to avoid pregnancy” (AKA - contracept), then the occurrence of conception is thus a failure of the method used “to avoid pregnancy”.

It does not state whether this failure is a good or bad thing. Only that it “is”. It exists.

Have a nice evening.

Although that would obviously exclude the woman’s permission. Which is at the heart of the matter.

Thank you. I hope yours is nice too.
